Consumers today are involved in more and a
greater variety of activities then ever before. Children have athletic and
educational opportunities that may not have been thought of fifteen or twenty
years ago. International communication and travel has become affordable and
almost common-place. At the same time today, the numbers are bigger - homes and
cars cost more, personal income continues to increase, and consumer debt is
higher than ever. More and costly activities coupled with inflated values play
right in to the hand of a litigious society. In this course the student will
examine, in depth, the personal umbrella policy. From this review the student
should be better equipped to help consumers protect themselves against
catastrophic liability losses.
